Germany: the biggest economy, the biggest logistics market
Germany is our largest single-country corridor outside Benelux. We run daily groupage to all major economic regions, with same-day delivery options into the Ruhr from Rotterdam and Antwerp.
- Hamburg — second-largest EU port, gateway for goods bound for DACH and CEE
- Frankfurt — largest cargo airport in mainland Europe; financial and pharma logistics
- München / Bavaria — automotive, machinery, high-value goods
- Düsseldorf, Köln, Ruhr region — industrial heartland, daily groupage from Benelux
- Berlin — capital region, growing e-commerce hub

Germany-specific notes
Trucking restrictions
Germany enforces strict Sunday and holiday driving bans for trucks over 7.5 tonnes. Plan urgent shipments to clear the border before Saturday evening or after Sunday 22:00.
Maut (toll) costs
Toll costs are now significant — about €0.25/km for trucks over 7.5t on Autobahnen and major roads. Always built into our quoted price, never added later.
Mehrwertsteuer (VAT)
If you're importing from outside the EU through a German port, German VAT is 19%. We file the import declaration; for B2B customers we can apply for VAT exemption certificates where applicable.
