Belgian customs specifics
If you're importing into Belgium regularly, two things will save you serious cashflow:
- ET 14.000 license — Belgian equivalent of NL Article 23. Defers 21% VAT from port to your periodic VAT return. We help set this up (4-6 weeks).
- AEO status — Authorised Economic Operator. Faster customs clearance, fewer inspections. Worth it if you do 500+ entries / year.
For one-off shipments: standard import declaration takes 2-4 hours. We pre-file as soon as you send the B/L.
